How incredible is it that technology has probably changed our way of living more than anything else on earth. The history of technology shows how live has changed more and more through the invention of things like laptops, mobiles, text messaging, and of course the internet. Who would have been able to predict that the internet would be what it is today: the primary source of information about. .. well. .. anything. Here are some more examples.
Technology Examples
In computing, graphics technology has grown rapidly. I love games so I love that too. Geforce chipsets have made graphics in games stunning to watch. And Blu-ray dvds make movies on your tv gorgeous. And I haven’t even mentioned the up and coming 3D movement. Isn’t it amazing?
And then there is web technology. the Web 2. 0 world has made it possible to connect in networks like never before. Online video sharing, content sharing, picture sharing, blogging, it doesn’t stop. Communication with friends and family has changed for so many people. And Facebook for example shows it’s only growing.
If you’re into photography or making movies, you will have noticed the great advance of digital camcorders and cameras. There are some many shapes and sizes to choose from, it is just incredible. The quality of the products are high and the price affordable to most. Amaterurs and professionals alike can make use, at their level, of the most amazing digital technology available today.
If you own an iPod or iPad you’ll already be familiar with that incredible feeling of being able to take your knowledge and entertainment with you anywhere you go. Pretty big technological advances. The Kindle by Amazon is another such example that would have been hard to comprehend 20 years ago: no need for books anymore. Who would have thought!
One area where I think technology comes into its own is in the world of technology advances in medicine. How many people will have been helped today by brain scans or x-rays, or heart pumps or that tiny little camera that can go all the way into your body. .. yeah I know. .. but still!
I need to stop somewhere, but as you can see, technology rocks. If I could afford it, I would definitely buy all the latest gadgets. Have fun with technology, that’s my idea.
